Who knew creepy crawlies could be so much fun?  It’s the Bug Olympics at FDR State Park!

Let me just start off by saying that I'm perfectly fine with this one...as long as no one brings a cockroach along with them.  Any other kind of bug...fine.  Bugs, you say?  Yep...it's the Bug Olympics at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, GA this Sunday morning beginning at 10:00am.  BUG OLYMPICS.  Does it get any more off the wall?  But that's what so good about things to do around here--there's an activity or event out there for everybody.  Even bug lovers.  So here's how this works.  Enter your fastest, carefully collected live bug (worm, small spider, caterpillar, etc) and bring your race animals in a safe container with lid and meet next to the Trading Post in campground.  Did I mention there's even going to be a contest for cricket spitting?  How much are your kids going to LOVE this?  It's only $1 entry fee per event.  Just remember, no amphibians or reptiles allowed in the competition--maybe soon there'll be an Olympic competition just for them.  And if bugs aren't your thing, make sure you take a look at the Event Calendar to get a good idea of all the other events happening this weekend because there's ton's to choose from!
