This is Halloween…in Columbus, GA!
What a perfect night for some trick-or-treating and all sorts of Halloween fun! If you haven't made plans for you and the kids...or you and your buddies...then here's a quick rundown of some creepy fun you might want to get into. A perfect spot for the little ones to go have some Halloween fun is Spooktacular on the Green Space in Uptown Columbus (corner of 10th St & Bay Ave.) They'll have all sorts of candy, games and a costume contest that you have to see to believe! The whole thing is free and it kicks off tonight (10.31) at 6:00pm and will run until about 8:00pm. For those of us who can stay out a little later, the Springer Opera House has a real treat with a couple of showings of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" tonight...one at 7:30 and the other, more traditional time that all the fun, wacky folks like to go to...midnight!! You can dress as your favorite character and they'll even have all the props there for you to make it a real experience! Toast, anyone? I've also heard that Trinity Episcopal Church on 1st Ave is doing something really cool at 7:00pm tonight with a concert of scary, spine-tingling pieces on the big pipe organ! That should set the mood for a fun night!
And if you're doing the traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating, just remember the times you'll be welcomed at your neighbors' door is between 6:00-8:00pm. Be safe and save a mini-Snickers or two for me!
Don't forget to take a look at the Event Calendar to get a real taste of all that's going on this weekend.
Happy Halloween!
