It’s Friday! What’s everyone doing this weekend In Columbus, GA?
It's one of the best sentences ever uttered..."It's Friday." Simple, to the point and full of promises. So what's on your radar this weekend? Rain or no rain, get off the sofa and find something to do...there's plenty to choose from--just take a look at the Event Calendar to prove that!
So yesterday we told you the details about "The Grand" where they'll put 1000 people down the Chattahoochee Whitewater course on Saturday. Go rafting if you haven't done it yet or just go watch...this ought to be a hoot! While you're in Uptown Columbus, you can also check out Market Days on Broadway as well as the 2014 Chattahoochee Challenge Olympic Triathlon and Duathlon. Then you also have things going on like the Muscogee County Friends of Libraries Annual Book Sale at the main library on Macon Rd, and as someone who loves a bargain, they'll have hardback books for $2 and kid's books for 25 cents! That's my kind of sale. Or you can head up to Callaway Gardens tonight for another in their series of Movies on the Beach...they'll be showing Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" so take a beach towel or chair and enjoy a movie under the stars. And if you and the kids are in the mood to get all artsy and craftsy, then get in on the fun at the Columbus Museum's Second Saturday program. You might be the next Da Vinci and don't even know it!
There's plenty to do this weekend. Your mission is to get out there and live it!
