Happy Thanksgiving!  Let’s Eat and then Have Some FUN!!

It's hard to believe that Turkey Day is upon us...where has the year gone?!  That's a question to be answered on another day because we now have to concentrate on turkey and dressing...and then entertaining the family and friends who you'll be hanging out with this long weekend.  So between the leftover turkey & cranberry sandwiches and the craziness of Black Friday Shopping, you'll need to squeeze in a little fun out and about.

I sure don't begrudge you for looking for great deals this Friday, but save some of your resources and time and head to Uptown Columbus for Small Business Saturday.  It's a day for everyone - from the business owners who create jobs to the customers who buy locally - to support small businesses that invigorate the economy and keep communities thriving. By shopping or dining at a small business this November 29th, you're showing your support for the Uptown community. This means you're helping local entrepreneurs offer more jobs, which in turn invigorate the economy.  Plus, Uptown's just a cool place to be!  Market Days on Broadway will be going on from 9AM until Noon and there'll be live music featuring the Justice Family Bluegrass Band and Nic Chavers.  The perfect atmosphere for a little holiday cheer!

And here's something you really might want to check out Saturday night.  It's a performance at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts called Cirque Dreams:  Holidaze.  Talk about a great way to light up the 2014 holiday season with this newest holiday stage spectacular. Experience gingerbread men flipping mid air, toy soldiers marching on thin wires along with snowmen, icemen and penguins, balancing, jumping and spinning in disbelief.  It's one of those shows you have to see to believe and it will really get you in the holiday spirit.

Don't forget to take a look at the Event Calendar to get an idea of other things you can get out and do.

Whatever you and your family do this Thanksgiving holiday, enjoy each other and your time together...it's what the holidays are all about!
