Set in 1940s Indiana, the story revolves around young Ralphie’s quest for his dream Christmas gift: an official Red Ryder Carbine Action 200 Shot Range Model Air Rifle. 3. Starting December 6 - SHINE at the Columbus Botanical Garden ($8-$15)

Santa Claus will make a special appearance each night to spread holiday cheer so bring the kids to share their Christmas wishes and the perfect photo op.
4. December 7 - Breakfast with Santa at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center ($15-$25, benefits Piedmont Children’s Hospital)
Experience Breakfast with Santa, presented by the Columbus Convention & Trade Center and KIA AutoSport of Columbus, a holiday family tradition! Enjoy a delicious breakfast, make Christmas cards for the children hospitalized at Piedmont, enjoy holiday crafts, spend quality time with Ole' St. Nick and more!
5. December 7 - Bi-City Christmas Parade in Uptown Columbus (Free!)
Gather for the Bi-City Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7, starting at 10:00 AM in Phenix City and coming into Columbus down Broadway from 13th Street to 9th Street.
6. December 7 - Christmas with C.S. Lewis at the RiverCenter ($64-$80)
In the early years of his young adult life C S Lewis believed the story of Christ’s birth was nothing more than feel-good myth. That all changed after a particular encounter with his great friend and fellow author, J R R Tolkien. Although both men loved mythology in general, Tolkien was convinced that the Jesus myth was the one true myth. That was the start of Lewis’ journey from Atheism to Christianity. From that point on Christmas, for Lewis, took on an entirely different meaning.
7. December 7 & 8 - The Columbus Ballet Presents 'The Nutcracker' ($22-$44)
Enjoy the magic of The Nutcracker presented by The Columbus Ballet. The 28th production of this holiday tradition promises to bring joy to all attendees! 8. December 8 - Historic Columbus’ Holiday Tour of Homes ($25-$30)
Historic Columbus’ Holiday Tour of Homes returns this holiday season! The Columbus community's favorite holiday event is back by popular demand, and you're invited! This year's tour features ten historic properties on Broadway and First Avenue in the Columbus Historic District with exquisite architecture, beautiful furnishings, and gracious hospitality.
9. December 8 - The Art of Wreath Making at The Columbus Museum - $65-$75
Celebrate the holiday season while learning the basics of wreath making! Create your very own beautiful season wreath to take home while enjoying light refreshments and holiday cheer.
10. December 11 - A Celtic Christmas at the RiverCenter ($39-$69)
Direct from its Off-Broadway season, A Taste of Ireland - The Irish Music & Dance Sensation presents its holiday spectacular, A Celtic Christmas. Prepare to be enchanted with some of the world’s finest Irish dancers and musicians bringing the spirit of Christmas to life, in a show that will make you laugh, cry, and sing into the night.
11. December 12 - 22 - Who’s Holiday at the Springer Opera House ($25-$41) *Mature content. Adults only.
Join us this holiday season for a hysterical trip back to Whoville with Cindy Lou in this wildly funny and heartfelt ADULTS-ONLY show. This campy comedy is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
