Go All Out for Ice Hockey in Columbus!
Go All Out for Ice Hockey in Columbus!
You might not think that South Georgia and hockey go together, but they do! The Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League are the local equivalent of the New York Rangers or Chicago Blackhawks! Playing at the Columbus Civic Center, a Cottonmouths game truly is an experience for the whole family to enjoy. For hockey fans in the South, a Cottonmouth’s game is one of the best regional experiences available. Combining the fun of a minor league sports experience with top flight hockey, catching a Cottonmouths game is a great way to spend an evening.
Check out the Cottonmouth’s schedule here. Home games are available for every weekend in February!
Many visitors to Columbus come for one event and then choose to stay for the whole weekend! Come to take in a professional ice hockey game, stay the night, visit some of the local museums and attractions, enjoy the outdoors, and grab a great meal at one of our top restaurants. There really is so much to do in Columbus, especially as the winter goes on and begins to turn into Spring, which always comes early in Columbus. Whether you are a hockey fan or not, combining events, games, the theater, great food and music, Southern architecture, tree-lined streets, and Southern charm makes for a great weekend no matter what time of year it is!
