California Dreaming…in Columbus, GA?  Absolutely…at the Springer Opera House!

So we've had a couple of cool and cloudy days, which I love, but I have to admit there was a moment when I was out in the wind and cold earlier this week that my thoughts went to a warm, sunny, sandy place.  Images of waves crashing, beach towels in the sand, the smell of Coppertone and the sounds of classic music from the 60's coming from a transitor radio.  (Uh-oh, I think I may have just really dated myself with that last one.)  Well, there isn't much I can do about the sun and the surf, but I can help out with the music part of this fantasy!  The Springer Opera House has a new production underway called "California Dreaming."  It's a musical journey through the California pop scene of the '60s and early '70s.  You know what I'm talking about...songs like "Fun, Fun, Fun", "Surfer Girl", "Dream a Little Dream of Me", "Our House", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and of course, "California Dreaming.'"  If your schedule is a little too full to catch the show this weekend, it runs through November 23, so make sure it gets on your calendar!  And don't forget to check the Event Calendar for more fun things to do.
